New developments at Hunland Trans – The acquisition of 100 Volvo FH Aero trucks
In 2024, Hunland Trans Ltd. has made significant steps towards renewing and developing its fleet. In early 2023, we initiated the testing of various truck models, particularly evaluating fuel efficiency and other important factors. Following this, we commenced a tender process at the end of August 2023, where the Volvo FH Aero model emerged as the winner. As a result, from September 1, 2024, 100 new trucks have been put into service, which will be used for transporting temperature-sensitive goods and live animals.
Why the Volvo FH Aero?
Several factors were considered when selecting the new trucks. It was important for us to acquire vehicles equipped with the latest and most advanced technology. The Volvo FH Aero has been available on the EU market since May 2024, and Volvo offered the best package, including a favorable purchase price, servicing, and other services aligned with our corporate social responsibility and ESG commitments.
Safety, comfort, eco-friendly solutions
Traffic safety is of paramount importance to us. The Volvo FH Aero is equipped with all available active and passive safety systems designed to prevent accidents and protect drivers. Human life is the most important thing; therefore, we pay special attention to ensuring our drivers’ safety.
These vehicles are also fully equipped with premium features such as: leather seats, a spacious cabin, a premium sound system, and alloy wheels, all of which make long journeys more comfortable. The comfort and safety of our drivers are equally important, which is why we ensure they have the best possible working conditions. The aerodynamic design of the Volvo FH Aero not only reduces fuel consumption but also decreases the carbon footprint of the vehicles.
Dynamic growth and future plans
Hunland Trans Ltd. demonstrates dynamic growth, as we are expanding our portfolio by 10% in 2024. 90% of the acquisition serves to replace existing vehicles, while 10% will be allocated for equipment development. 85% of the new vehicles will strengthen the Hunland Trans fleet, while 5% will be transferred to Hunland Trans GmbH.
With the acquisition of the new trucks, we not only provide our drivers with the most modern and safest equipment but also remain committed to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. We strive to offer excellent solutions to our clients, thereby supporting safer and more sustainable transportation.
On September 9th, we recieved our 99th and 100th new trucks at the Volvo premises.
Our company was represented at the event by Zoltán Deli and Péter Hencz, managing directors of Hunland Trans Ltd., as well as Gábor László, technical manager. From Volvo Trucks Hungary, Dávid Illés, managing director, Gergely Fáczán, commercial director, Tamás Somogyi, service market & retail director, and Krisztián Kajári, regional sales representative were present.
